A telling of Hans Christian Andersen's 'The Swineherd' with Queen of Spades, 's character as the narrator.

Queen of Spades (narrating): Now Patches the swineherd was VERY happy, thinking that he had recieved the affection of the princess after giving her his magic cooking pot for 10 kisses. Sometime later, he had finished working on ANOTHER masterpiece. He made a magical silver rattle. It looked like a miniature scepter at first glance, but EVERYTIME it was shaken, it played EVERY tune known in the world with its lovely bell-like sound- from concertos to waltzes and minuets.

Now, Princess Loralei herself was walking with the chambermaid and Ladies Mickey and Monico near the pigsty one day. She caught sight of the swineherd playing a rattle. The tune was Minuet in G major (c) JS Bach, and of course, she wanted it VERY badly.

Loralei: Oh Patches- That Rattle is SO lovely
Patches: thanks, dear Princess. I'm glad you like it, it plays EVERY tune in the world.
Loralei: I'm SO happy to hear that I could probably sing to one of the tunes it plays....that means.....I REALLY want this rattle
Patches: Hmmmmmm....alright then, for this magical rattle, the price is 100 kisses from the Princess
Loralei: a HUNDRED KISSES! From YOU?! NEVER! 10 kisses is ENOUGH! Besides, I'll NEVER kiss a DISGUSTINGLY UNHYGENIC SWINEHERD! *turns to Mickey and Monico* Right Girls????
Mickey: Like, Totally *disgusted face*
Monico: *expression you see here* EWWWW, like, who'd want to kiss some mud-face pig carer!
Dummy Girl: I work in the kitchen a LOT- and there is NO WAY I'll be kissing someone who works with pigs!
Patches: *sigh* but this rattle took quite a LONG time to make- not to mention, it plays EVERY tune.
Loralei: *grumbles* FINE! I shall give you 100 kisses and the rattle shall be MINE! ALL MINE! *to Mickey, Monico and Dummy Girl* Alright ladies, form a circle around me and mr Swineherd boy here. Dummy Girl, keep note on the number of kisses in case I loose track!

Queen of Spades (narrating): so the ladies did as told, and the Princess started gaving the swineherd her 100 kisses on the cheek- and Chambermaid Dummy Girl kept counting every kiss Loralei gave Patches.

Unknown to them, the Queen was at the Balcony, enjoying herself, drinking some fine wine.....when all of a sudden, she caught sight of the crowd near the pigsty.

Mrs Lillitandersen: Err...what.....the ladies? Near the Pigsty? They usually DON'T go there....I wonder what is up with them? *starts to rush down the castle stairs*
