Description

A telling of Hans' Christian Andersen's 'The Swineherd' with :iconstars-in-well: 's OC Queen of Spades as the narrator. A simply had this idea in my head after re-reading this tale it recently (I remember first reading this story when I was 5 or 6 from a picture book I had AGES ago (probably given away), only recently finding out it was a tale by Hans Christian Andersen- Boy he wrote a lot of stories didn't he?! XD Also, I thought my OC Loralei Lillitandersen the Succubus would have a good role as the Princess in this story- and you'll see why XDDD)

MAIN CAST:
-Queen of Spades the theater spirit, :iconstars-in-well: 's OC as the narrator
-Patches as the poor prince/swineherd
-Loralei Lillitandersen as the princess
-Mrs Lillitandersen as the Queen
-Dummy Girl, Micket and Monico of Scare School as the Queen's chambermaids

Start:
Queen: Hello everyone, welcome to my theater. As a spirit who loves tales of wise words and morals, I love telling stories. *looks at Dummy Girl* Dear Dummy Girl over here has been begging me SO hard for a role in a story- and although I haven't found one for her to have a BIG leading role in yet, I've decided to give her a slightly minor role this time round so she won't feel left out, along with 2 other students from her school :)

Now most little girls often dream of being princesses. However, in reality, there is more to being a princess than just living a life of luxury and getting pampered, and having what you want. Having a kind and accepting nature is also very VERY important- if not, you will land in hot water alias, be trouble. This is a tale from Hans Christian Andersen which tells of a spoilt princess who painfully had to learn her lesson the hard way.

*coloured smoke and fire*

Queen of Spades (narrating): There was once a young prince who was rather poor. Well, not entirely poor, but not as rich as other princes which we know of in many stories. His name was Patches. He had a very tiny kingdom- not much land as we can say. His most precious possessions were not gold or jewels or other things which come to our mind when we think of princes, but a small rose-tree which bore a single rose once every 5 years and a little tame nightingale which always made him happy by singing melodiously every evening.

Now the poor prince had fallen in love with a Beautiful, rich, but rather haughty princess named Loralei. And with that, he had decided to give his most precious posessions as gifts for her. 'A young lady so beautiful and with a voice so enchanting should definitely appreciate a bird of sweet-song and a lovely red rose' he thought, dreaming of her with the rose in her hair and teaching the nightingale to sing.
And with that, both the rose and the nightingale were sent off to her palace.
