Just a random Sketch of Ashley from 'School for Vampires' as the lead little boy (I TRIED to make him look younger here) of one of the Grimm Brothers' not so well known tales- 'The Juniper Tree. For those of you who don't know, it's ALSO one of Grimms' MUCH darker and a little gory tales about bearing your consequences when you do a HUGE wrong.

If you don't know what this tale is about, its a tale of a young woman who wishes for a boy 'as white as snow and red as blood' When she finally has her son (who, in many versions of this tale has hair red as blood and skin white as snow- description familiar? ) , she sadly passed away and her rich husband had to bury her beneath the Juniper tree.

Now the husband had another wife, who was VERY cruel, but had a LOVELY daughter named Marleen. This evil stepmother then MURDERS her stepson in one of the most gruesome ways. (SHEESH- talk about HORRID)

Well, not to give to much away on what happens, but the boy comes back from the dead as a bird (who constantly sings the song in the deviation) and takes revenge on his stepmother....you'll have to find out HOW *wicked grin*

Fun fact: The Juniper Tree is actually Neil Gaiman's (alias the author and creator of 'Coraline) favourite fairy tale
