A Kiss for the Blacksmith

Yes Oskar and Sunshine as Married Greek god couple- Hephestus, the Blacksmith of the Greek Gods and Aphrodite, the Greek Goddess of Love and Beauty.

I chose Hephestus for Oskar because he is the odd one of his classmates (due to his fear of blood) just as Hephestus was known as the not-so-handsome one of the Olympian Greek Gods. Being the blacksmith of the Gods, Hephestus is best known for preparing and shaping Zeus' thunderbolts and other weapons of the Greek gods.
Oskar's toga clasp is a blacksmith's hammer- which will be fitting as he is cosplaying the blacksmith of the Gods.

Aphrodite is often considered the 'girly' and 'romantic' one of the goddesses it seems- associated with hearts, the colour pink etc- making her the perfect Goddess for Sunshine to cosplay. Part of Sunshine's costume was inspired a bit by the Disney's Hercules version of Aphrodite (which fits her blonde hair and girly girl personality) and a bit of mine. Her toga clasps are red roses- classic symbols of passion and romance.

Thank goodness this is only a cosplay (one which Sunshine and Oskar look very good and cute in). Although we know in actual mythology that Hephestus and Aphrodite married and had a son- Eros (or cupid), Aphrodite cheated on the Blacksmith of the Gods by seducing other men- quite a few times, but I think not as many as Zeus seduced other women and cheated on Hera. And we know Sunshine would never cheat on Oskar.
