Today is the birthday of one of my favourite classic authors Oscar Wilde, author of supernatural novels such as the Canterville ghost and the picture of Dorian Grey, as well as several fairy stories, including The Selfish Giant, the nightingale and the rose and my favourite, The Happy Prince.

And my favourite quote from him:
'Be yourself, everyone else is already taken' :3

1. You must post the rules.
2. Each person must post 5 things about themselves in their journal.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post and create five new questions for the people you tag to answer
4. You have to choose 10 people to tag and post their icons on your journal.
5. Go to their page and tell them you have tagged them.
6. No tag backs
7. No stuff in the tagging section about "you're tagged if you're reading this" You legitimately have to tag atleast 5 people.

Five things about myself

1.I'm currently searching for a job

2. My favourite films this year are The Lego Movie and The Boxtrolls (more to come if I see more films)

3. My favourite Youtubers are TheLeetCasualGamer and Melinapendulum

4. I DESPISE it when people bring up the whole 'you MUST hate or not support 'x' because you happen to support/love 'y' stuff when it comes to certain topics. AND when people willy-nilly use the word 'overrated' to make people feel bad for liking something popular.
To sort of paraphrase a certain fata** kid 'it's my own mind, it's my life, I like whatever I want!'

5. My favourite controversial classic books are Animal Farm and Paradise Lost.

questions

1.Do you have a favorite comedian?
Do Matt Stone and Trey Parker count? I love thier twisted sense of humour and satire xD
But if we are talking stage or acting comedians maybe Gilbert Gottfried (his dirty/Pervy sense of humour amuses me) or Mel Brooks and Leslie Nelson.

2.Do you have a favorite TV show?
Most nature documentaries by David Attenborough (especially the Life of Birds, In Cold Blood or the Life of Mammals) or Heston's Feasts.

3.Do you like listening to music?
Yes- especially oldies, Jazz, Swing and Classical or J-Pop or J-Rock.

4.What are your hobbies?
Plushie collecting, drawing, taking walks, swimming (in summer), singing, listening to music, reading and video games.

5.Do you like traveling?
With my Family or with my Sweetheart

I dunno who to tag at the moment.

Yep the 3rd Installment by Laika Studios (who made Coraline and Paranorman)

And it didn't truly disappoint :3 yes while the story had some familiar and begore-used elements, it manages to make a few things fresh and fun in a good way. Had some good messages to- especially 'growing out of your box' and 'hats, status etc don't make a person. (The latter which I recon some people NEED to take into consideration these days)

If you know me, I'm a sucker for creepiness, certain kinds of ugly-cute creatures and English Victorian style stuff, so this was up my alley. But what also made me love it a lot are the Monty Python and Roald Dahl esque humour along with some instances of stop motion gross-out humour (which Laika studios pulls of well) that hasn't been used in many recent kids movies. <3

While to me the Lego movie was the best film for 2014 In my opinion, the Boxtrolls does come close :3 a nice fun romp from Laika studios. Bravo Laika, hope to see more films from you :3

A couple of days ago was the Birthday of one of my all time favourite Authors- the late Roald Dahl.

Yes the guy who gave us 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The BFG, The Twits, and my personal favourites, the Witches and Matilda. (And their film adaptations)

One of many guys who proved us that Children's' media can be dark AND enjoyable.

Saw this thanks to my wonderful BF :iconpgt-sarge:

I see that the world does need some variety with its mindsets for if we all thought alike, the world would be a duller place.
